Paragraph
Clarisse Mclellan is a seventeen year old girl with brown hair and dark eyes. She is very thin and her skin is very pale. She loves walking and being in nature, despite the fact that everyone around her is consumed by the technology of her world. She is not accepted by the adults or kids her age because she is very different from them. She has scars on her arms and legs from trees she fell out of or fences she climbed while exploring the outdoors. Though she wears tennis shoes mostly, she prefers to be barefoot to feel the ground beneath her. She has moved around with her family a lot because they are not welcomed by society. Her family is the only one that sits and talks and laughs together. They are the only ones who question the world that they are in. When Clarisse gets upset or frustrated, she talks a walk or a run outside to clear her head. Her biggest fear is the other kids her age. Though she longs for acceptance, she doesn't want to be involved with the violent, murderous other teenagers. The only people she confides in are her family (and soon Montag). She loves to talk and hear stories that people have to tell. She loves to laugh, but the TV does not amuse her. She has tried to build friendships in the past, but was always let down and rejected because she is different. She collects things like fruits, walnuts, chestnuts, leaves, and flowers because of their intricacy and beauty. She gives them away or creates art with them to bring joy to her family or Montag.
